As September drew to a close, Keswick Vineyards had the distinct honor of hosting the beautiful union of Ciria and Alex. Their wedding on Saturday, September 30, 2023, marked the grand finale of a bustling month filled with love and celebration. The setting was Keswick Vineyards, the stage for a day filled with unique touches and unforgettable moments.

The wedding of Ciria and Alex was nothing short of extraordinary, with the couple choosing to embark on a journey that broke away from conventional wedding norms. The groom, Alex, set the tone with a linen tan suit adorned with fine stripes. It was a refreshing departure from the classic black or blue suits that often dominate wedding attire. His choice exuded sophistication and was a perfect match for the rustic elegance of Keswick Vineyards.

Ciria, the radiant bride, made her grand entrance with a striking element of surprise—a long, flowing cape attached to her wedding dress. This captivating accessory added an enchanting dimension to her bridal look, perfectly capturing the essence of her unique style and personality. Her gown and cape were a testament to her individuality and love for the extraordinary.

The couple chose to keep things close to the heart by having Ciria's cousin create the stunning floral arrangements. The personal touch added a warm, intimate atmosphere to the day. Among the floral highlights was the groom's boutonniere, which radiated charm and complemented his unconventional suit choice impeccably.

The bridal party continued the theme of uniqueness, donning rust-colored dresses that contrasted beautifully with the natural backdrop of Keswick Vineyards. Ciria and Alex exchanged their vows in front of the breathtaking Edgewood Estate, with its iconic fountain as the backdrop. The moment was pure magic as the fountain's waters became still when Ciria made her entrance with her father, and gracefully flowed back to dancing water after their first kiss. A Stunning Fusion of Love and Tradition: Natasha & Eric's Keswick Vineyards Wedding

On a picturesque Friday, September 29th, 2023, love blossomed in the heart of Keswick Vineyards. Natasha, a vibrant and beautiful Indian bride, and Eric, a charming American groom, celebrated their union with two breathtaking ceremonies under perfect weather. This day was a blend of cultures, colors, and love that left everyone in awe.

As the sun graced Keswick Vineyards with its warm embrace, Natasha and Eric's wedding day was kissed by perfect weather. The clear skies and gentle breeze set the stage for a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Natasha's Indian heritage and Eric's American roots merged harmoniously in two distinct ceremonies. The first was a breathtaking Hindu ceremony, rich in traditions and symbolism, celebrating Natasha's cultural heritage. The vibrant colors, intricate rituals, and mesmerizing beauty of the ceremony left everyone spellbound.

Following the Hindu ceremony, a quick floral change transformed the stage, and Natasha and Eric were ready for their second ceremony—a quintessential American celebration. This fusion of traditions beautifully represented their love story and the union of their families.

Flowers played a starring role in Natasha and Eric's wedding. The couple opted for a color palette inspired by the rich hues of fall, with deep oranges, warm reds, and lush greens. The floral arrangements were nothing short of spectacular, adorning the venue with beauty and elegance.

Inside the reception tent, the color scheme of green and orange continued, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Large trees adorned the tent poles down the center, infusing the space with an enchanting and rustic charm. The tent, with its fall-inspired décor, was nothing short of breathtaking.

As the day turned into night, Natasha and Eric didn't just change their outfits once; they did so three times! Each change was a testament to the joy and celebration that filled the day, as they danced, laughed, and celebrated their love with family and friends.

Always Have a Backup Plan

If you are thinking of having an outdoor wedding, you better always have a solid backup plan for the “what ifs”. Know one had ever thought that on Saturday, September 23, 2023, that anyone having a wedding that day in the Charlottesville area would have to deal with Hurricane Ophelia. Not only does a hurricane bring rain, but also constant winds and wind gusts so you better be ready.

Thankfully, for Georgi and Evan, they chose to have their wedding at Keswick Vineyards. Regardless of what Mother Nature throws at us, we are prepared for it. Our tent has permanent anchors that go down about 5’, tent sides to block any rain or wind, drainage around our tent to keep the inside completely dry, artificial turf to remain dry, generators if needed to keep the party going, umbrellas and the most dedicated staff and vendors to make sure your dream wedding happens no matter what!

When couples tour here, we always tell them about our rain plan and how we prefer it over renting another tent. Not only does this save you money, but when we have everything in our main tent to keep everyone comfortable and happy and the brightness of our Aurora tent on a cloudy day versus a vinyl tent, it really is a no brainer to do it. Just look and see what you think.

We basically set up the tent how it should look for the reception yet push the tables to the outer perimeter to make an open space to set up the ceremony. When the ceremony is over, guests head to the other side of the tent to the bar while we quickly take those ceremony chairs and place around the tables on the other side to open up the ceremony side of the tent for us to move those tables that were on the perimeter, back to their correct position. We then add the remaining chairs and boom, we’re done!

For cocktail hour, it is under our main tent, and we use the dance floor as the location for any stationery food and high-top tables. We can easily have this ready to go even before the ceremony starts so as soon as the ceremony is over, guests can start enjoying some appetizers and drinks. Once cocktail hour is over, we remove any tables from the dance floor, and we are ready to start the reception just as always planned!

Fortunately, with a hurricane, you get bands of bad weather. So, when the opportunity for no rain happened, we quickly take pictures outside. Look how happy our couple is!

So, although Georgi and Evan didn’t get to have their outside ceremony, they still were able to get married under a beautiful tent protected from Mother Nature.

Instead of the traditional booklet, they opted for a 3-piece hand fan that not only kept guests cool but also served as a keepsake from their special day. While the newlyweds ventured off for their photoshoot, guests enjoyed delicious appetizers and drinks, taking in the picturesque surroundings of Keswick Vineyards.
